Dreams
I have this recurring dream about me and my boyfriend in a jungle. No, it is not a naughty dream. It's almost a nightmare! In the dream, both of us are clad in clothes made of animal skin (think stone age). We are attacked by a tribe and a barbaric fight follows. I see my boyfriend being captured and taken away. I am crying and yelling, but unable to do anything to protect him. Then I wake up! What can I make of this dream? – Kriti
Kriti, these are insecurities related to a relationship. And definitely a relation, which may be in the initial stage waiting for he approval.
As you say you in your dream have seen yourself and your boyfriend being attacked by a tribe, it is a clear manifestation of the fear that weird people are impacting your relation. Some people Kriti are not important, yet they matter.
The you see your boyfriend being captured by the tribal. This is just a fear of loosing him…at the same time are you facing serious oppositions in your relationship?
My Interpretation is that assures you of this relation and come out of the fears, as
Franklin D.Roosevelt rightly said,” The only thing we have to fear is the fear itself”
“Have a deep respect for the source of life and also for the ocean, for the forest, for the stars and for the truth.”
I see ghosts and supernatural elements in my dreams. But they don't scare me. Sometimes I do have my moments of fear, from the supernatural, when I am not dreaming. So, why is different in my dreams? – Sonam
Sonam, your query is actually a situation in which you can take the glass has half full or half empty. Now it depends in what form or structure you are seeing the ghosts. In case you are not scared by the in your dreams as you have written, it shows that your mind id quite convinced that ghosts don’t exist!
But at the same time you feel at times scared of them. Yes that is because ghost and supernatural elements are to a large extent mysteries.
I would interpret it as a state of your partial acceptance of the mind that ghosts exist and partially that they do not exist. We cannot ignore the fact that whatever verbal, visual and emotional stimuli we get in our waking life, it gets converted into mystifying storylines in dreams
I often dream that I am working hard towards completing a project but wake up before the final lap. For instance, I dreamt that I was in a theatre group and there were constant rehearsals for a grand performance. And then, I woke up before the final performance. These instances frequent my dreams. I wonder why? – Seema
Seema a survey suggests that 51%of business –professionals dream about work.
Are you over worked?
There is also a possibility that you are handling a big project in your life at the moment. The final results of the project are weighing on your mind. Though you are confident about the initial stages of the work, the outcome is murkier…. And this is what is showing in your dreams in the form of rehearsals, which are being repeated to have the best final performance. Just put in your best efforts. And if your mind feels drained…. take a break and rejuvenate your self. "One machine can do the work of fifty ordinary men. No machine can do the work of one extraordinary man." --Elbert Hubbard
I never have good or happy dreams. Most of the time I am being chased by an animal or person, or lost in a big crowd, or trying to save myself from fire. The worse is when I dream of flunking my exams! Does it reflect an unhappy me? PS: I am not an unhappy person.
- Alice
Alice,it is very normal to have a dream of losing the way or finding oneself in some strange place when …which relates to the anxiety level of the dreamer.
Being chased by the animal or a person is an evidence of being controlled by a person or an authority you are trying to run away from. Here it is important to consider what kind of animal is chasing you. Dreaming of lion is as such a symbolic dream that shows that someone better in position and power is trying to dominate you… powerful feeling than being chased by a cat. Here you have to be cautious because sometimes roaring lion are cats!
In ever situation in life there is a test. Are you handling a very challenging professional or personal issues in your life at the moment…and fear the result? This attitude shows in dreams as failing the exam.
No it does not definitely show the unhappy you but definitely the phase of life that you may be going through.

I am not a film maker. The funny thing is I often dream that I am directing a film with my friends as the actors. The plot involves drama, ski-fi, romance, comedy and everything from Bollywood to Hollywood. What do my filmy dreams mean? - Pooja
You may not be literally directing a film but are you planning anything adventurous in your life?
Generally when one is planning something on a very big scale ,there may be certain factors that delay the execution of the plan. The various stages involve in planning impact the mindset and our behavior. Hence in case your plot or plan involves a change in your position but after some achievements, the whole thing may appears in your dream as a drama. Romance literally does not mean romance with the opposite gender but a satge of harmony with the work.
Sometimes the dreamer reinforces the Defense mechanism ….by saying”oh it was just a dream!” All you need to do is to be self aware.
At the same time you need to introspect are you thinking of acting or becoming a celebrity?
