Field story... Wednesday Conversation 5.

 Field story

Blue Tokai 3rd February 2026.

Wine-coloured long warm coat, grey Benarasi stole, blue denims, Indo-Western earrings—and Wakhra Swag playing softly in my head. Honestly, the swag was less about the song and more about the endless scarves doing their own choreography.

As I warmed up for the fifth Warm Shoulder vanity conversation, I realised—somewhere between adjusting my stole and checking the chairs—that this event had quietly turned into a celebration for me.

The excitement of meeting teammates—old and new—was real. And yes, not all olds are old, but some are quite bold, if I’m allowed to say that with love and mischief intact. A small but real relief came from noticing a few chairs already waiting for us.

As I rearranged tables and chairs—because of course I did—I found myself wondering: Does an empty chair tell a story? Sometimes it does. Especially when we’re in that reflective, mildly philosophical, coffee-sipping mental space where we talk to ourselves and nod knowingly.

Then people began pouring in. And just like that, conversations grew warmer, warmer, warmer—much warmer than the North Indian winter outside. The topics? A glorious buffet: travel dreams, cooking adventures, spiritual mindsets, honey sets and pancakes (very important), goodbyes with lovers, yoga, Surya Kriya, the goodness hidden in all of us, heartfelt messages, a sunflower sweater that deserved its own moment, and small handwritten slips promised for next time.

And then came my favourite part—the quiet, beautiful ending. No rush. No drama. Just consciousness. We cleaned the table ourselves. Carried the dishes back. Didn’t wait for someone else to do it for us. We left no trace—except, of course, in each other.

How much consciousness is needed as we grow older. How conversations like these help us meet—again and again. Is this the real warm conversation? Is this the real spirituality?

Maybe it is.

And maybe there’s a lot more coming—for you and for me. 🌻✨ All for the warm shoulder that we have.
